Ez2Wire has been in business since 2005
It all started in the spring of 2003, when I bought an universal wiring harness kit to rewire my son's 1974 Opel Manta. I had bought their harness hoping that retrofitting my sons Manta with a universal harness would work. There was little guidance or even acknowledgement from anyone online or the manufacturer that replacing an OEM harness with a Universal harness would even work. Considering no one made a harness for the Manta and the harness was in bad shape.. I had very few options.
I had up to this point thought that wiring was "tricky" and difficult. My concerns were doubled when I got the kit as the directions that came with it were crude. Fortunately my concerns were not justified as I found even with the crude directions that came with the kit and my factory wiring diagram, the project was pretty straight forward.
With that experience, and already being a seller of automotive components on eBay, I decided to help others find a cost affordable way to rewire their classic. So after a few hits and misses with various vendors of Asian made product, that didn't quite live up to my expectations in both the quality and supply departments. I decided to look for U.S. Made product lines to sell.
I strived to be able to offer the lowest prices and keep my overhead as low as possible as well. So, with eBay continually raising fees and costs to run a store there, and combined with supply problems with the asian vendors, it made it impossible to do business.
You know when eBay is making twice the money in fees, than you make in profit.. it is time to leave.
So I built this website, and left eBay for the most part, that's also when I came across Kwik Wire, American Autowire, and Ron Francis. After reviewing samples of their product, I was astonished at how superior the fit and finish of these products were, and knew I had made the right decision. I also realized even though they were technically selling the same thing, they were different enough in style and price that I should sell both and I did.
So now we are proud to sell only U.S. Made wiring harnesses from the most basic harness with just a fuse block and a few wires to factory OEM style GM wiring harnesses using modern wire for model years from 1955 thru the early 80s'. We cover a range of wiring solutions from the simplest rat rod harness, to basic universal harnesses, custom chassis harnesses, custom engine harnesses, OEM style GM Harnesses from the mid-'50s to the early '80s and everything in between.
What also makes us different, is unlike other vendors we don't carry JUST one brand of harness like Painless Performance Wiring, Centec, or Hot Rod Wiring. We carry many different wiring companies products, each have their strength and weaknesses and from application to cost, they all have their niche.
EZ2Wire is also not like other on-line vendors, in that I am the sole employee, I built the website, fill the orders, answer the phone, and check the emails. That said, you can feel free to call me any time and often calling after 6 PM EST Is the best time to call.
Another advantage, is if you have a question on an install at 9 PM in the evening on a Friday night.. I'm here. Heck even if its midnight, I maybe here call, and if you leave a message I will get back to you either right then or the very next morning.
Thanks for checking us out and I hope to make you a customer, Charles
For Tech or Customer Service Questions it is best to call after 6 PM EST and on Weekends I will have more time to spend with you answering your questions and be able to give you the personal uninterrupted attention you deserve. We also strive to return emails as fast as possible, and no later than the next business day.
